My name is Patricia, though many know me as Paty. I am the seamstress at Price Cleaners in Cross River, and I want to share the story of how the art of sewing has become my passion and legacy.

I was born and raised in Ecuador, where my mom, a talented seamstress, planted the first seeds of this craft in me. Ever since she was 14, she dreamed that I would follow in her footsteps, but I had other plans. My goal was to become an accountant, and I achieved it. I graduated with a degree in accounting, but fate had something special in store for me.
My mom insisted that I also learn her trade, so I enrolled in the Santa Corazón de María Institute. At 17, I graduated as a professional seamstress, an accomplishment that would later become my true calling.
In 2002, I came to the United States in search of a better future. Here, I tried my hand at different jobs, even working in a jewelry store, but something was missing: my passion.
That’s when I decided to return to my roots and take up sewing again.
Today, with over 35 years of experience, every stitch I sew tells a story. My work is not just a profession; it’s a way to honor my mother and her legacy. At Price Cleaners, every garment I repair or design carries not just my hands but also the love, dedication, and spirit of my family.
My mission is simple: to transform every thread and fabric into something unique while connecting people to their memories and identity. I am here to serve my community and keep alive the art of sewing that started with my mother.
